The Betware OLAP solution is a business intelligence system for analyzing lottery data. The solution uses the Cognos OLAP front-end PowerPlay as a default. The solution handles flexible ad hoc queries using drill-down features and graphical presentation possibilities. Data is defined as cubes with the main building blocks being dimensions and measures that represent key business information. The data is presented using a drag and drop environment rather than the conventional relational database format. This means that key players in the company can themselves use the user-friendly OLAP front-end to drill and drag-and-drop the data to create meaningful and dynamic reports. This makes the report creation process much faster and can open up new possibilities: such as maximizing a marketing budget by analyzing how successful an advertisement campaign is or by locating target buyers by age, gender and/or geographical location
