Betware’s Powerful Interactive Gaming Platform

The Betware Gaming Platform (BGP) is a collection of core gaming services that are implemented as Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) on a secure Application Server. The BGP is the foundation for Betware’s Solution. With the BGP, Betware is able to provide gaming operators with complete, scalable solutions to their gaming needs. The design of the Betware Gaming Platform is best described by four keywords: Flexibility, Reusability, Scalability and Security.

Its flexibility comes from its modular design, where new services can be added in a modular fashion. Additionally, each core service can be customized to the individual customer’s needs yet keeping the same “core” for all customers.

Reusability is achieved by the careful design of all the services, and the packaging of the services into the Java Enterprise Bean component model or as Java objects. For all reusable parts of the system, care has been taken to leave room for customization on top of the “core” reusable components in order to be able to meet customer’s needs.

Scalability is secured by using Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) as the foundation for Betware Solutions. A layered architecture where clustering and/or load balancing are possible at each layer secures scalability, thus allowing a gradual increase in performance by adding new components/machines.

Security is one of the most important aspects of gaming and is an integral part of Betware’s solutions at each layer and implementation. Betware has made every effort to ensure that industry-accepted security standards are implemented in the BGP. To make Betware’s solutions secure and auditable, Betware has adapted to the Common Criteria security standard [ISO/IEC 15408].
