Company to open new regional office in British Columbia, Canada

10.7.2006

Betware is currently planning to expand into Canada. It will soon open an office in the town of Kamloops, a short plane journey from Vancouver, British Columbia.

This regional office will support the programming and development work Betware currently undertakes at its Iceland headquarters for its Canadian client. The Betware office will run to a capacity of four to five employees in the beginning with a view to add more.

“Betware has been doing extensive work for our client in Canada,” said Ivar Unnthorsson, Project Manager at Betware. "We are now looking for more opportunities to expand our business in Canada. Having an onhand presence in the country makes it much easier."

The expansion would mean hiring Canadian programmers who would be better equipped to work and live in the local area. Betware would initially send a team of experts to train the new employees and help them understand the company’s solutions and services.

The Kamloops office will be the second regional office for the company. Betware already has one branch office in Copenhagen, Denmark and its headquarters are based in Reykjavik, Iceland.
