Betware among the best companies to work for in Iceland
According to the “Company of the Year Survey”, conducted by one of the largest trade unions in Iceland, VR or "The Commercial Workers”, Betware was placed among top five, best companies to work for in Iceland.
The Company of the Year Survey is the largest and best known employment survey in Iceland with around thirty thousand participants from over thousand companies. The philosophy which the survey is based on is that a company’s performance depends equally or even more on the internal working environment than on its external operational environment. In this context, the “internal working environment” means, first and foremost, the attitudes of the employees. Statistically, there is a linear correlation between staff satisfaction with their working environment and the company’s performance. Betware´s CEO, Stefán Hrafnkelsson accepted the title ´Model Firm 2009´ on behalf of Betware from the Union when the results were published. “I am very proud that the employees rank their workplace as high as they did. In my opinion they are entitled to the credit of making Betware as good workplace as it is” said the CEO.
