Betware has successfully acquired an ISO 27001 Information Security certification.

The scope of the certification includes an Information Security Management System (ISMS) in relation to the provision of the company’s gaming solution and services. The ISMS focus is on information security in regards to internal operations and procedures, using continual improvements approach.

The Information Security Management System applies to all functions within the company main office and the next phase of implementation will include the branch offices. “Implementing ISO 27001 has been a challenging task, but now that we have reached our goal of certification we are already seeing the benefits that the ISMS provides us.“ said Rakel Sigurðardóttir, Security Manager at Betware.

Part of the ISMS is the Security Forum which is responsible for the coordination of information security within Betware. The certification is not only an obligation but also an opportunity for the company to improve operations and procedures– internal audits are performed continuously throughout the year, external audits are carried out yearly and the certification is evaluated every three years.

“For Betware, security has always been a top priority issue” – said Stefan Hrafnkelsson, company CEO. “With this certification our clients and partners can rest assured that we fulfill the highest information security standards” – he added.
