Stefan Hrafnkelsson, CEO and Managing Director
Stefan founded Betware back in 1998. Previous to that he was the CEO and one of the founders of Margmidlun, an Internet Service Provider which also specialized in software development for e-commerce solutions. Stefán has also worked as a Computer Programmer at Microsoft, and a teacher at the Reykjavik University. Stefan holds a M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Washington, USA and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Iceland.

Ivar Hermann Unnthorsson, Deputy CEO
Ivar joined Betware in 2001 and since then, he has served various positions at the company, from Software Developer, Project Manager, PMO Manager and Integration Manager before taken the responsibility as the company´s Deputy CEO.  Before joining Betware he worked as a Software Developer for Gagarin an Icelandic company which focused on delivering multimedia and mobile solutions. Ívar holds a MBA degree and a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the Reykjavik University.

Helena Hallgrimsson, Chief Financial Officer
Helena joined Betware in 2007. Previously she worked as Finance and Refund Manager for Global Refund – Iceland and as a Consultant in the Finance department of the University Hospital in Reykjavik where she was in charge of bookkeeping, grant payments, cost analysis and report writing. Helena holds a M.Sc. in Finance and International Business from the Aarhus School of Business in Denmark. She also holds a Cand.oecon. in Business Administration from the University of Iceland.

Arni S. Petursson, Chief Marketing Officer and Business Development
Árni joined Betware in 2010.  Previous to that he worked as a Project Manager at Credit Suisse in Luxembourg, as a Senior Manager in Project Management and Business Development in Landsbanki Luxembourg S.A., as a Marketing Director for VÍS Insurance Ltd. and as a Marketing Director at Landsbréf hf. a financial institution in Iceland. Arni holds a Cand.oecon degree in Business Administration from the University of Iceland.

Ingvar Hjalmarsson, Chief Sales Officer and Account Management
Ingvar joined Betware in 2011. Previous to that he was responsible for Business Development for one of the Iceland‘s leading geothermal energy companies, HS Orka hf., the Managing Director and the Director of Marketing at HBT International hf., a small entrepreneurial company in Iceland, Director of Sales at Sjóvá-Almennar Insurance hf, Product Manager at Össur hf., and  Medcare Flaga hf. in Iceland. Ingvar holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Iceland.

Steindor Gudmundsson, Chief Product Officer
Steindor joined Betware when it was founded in 1998 and before taken his current responsibility as a Chief Product Officer he has served various positions within the company, such as a Software Developer, Systems Architect and Core Development Manager. Before joining Betware he worked as a Software Developer at Margmidlun an Internet Service Provider with a focus on e-commerce solutions. Steindór holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and a Diploma in Applied Computing from the Reykjavik University.

Olafur Andri Ragnarsson, Chief Software Architect
Olafur Andri founded Betware in 1998 along with Stefan Hrafnkelsson. Previous to that he worked as an Operator for the Icelandic Soccer Pools, at Islenskar Getraunir and as a Development Manager at Margmidlun, an Internet Service Provider with a focus on e-commerce solutions. Olafur Andri serves as a faculty member at Reykjavik University, teaching a course on designing and building Internet Applications. Ólafur Andri holds a M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Oregon, USA.

Rakel Sigurdardottir, Chief Development Officer
Rakel joined Betware in 2000 and has since then held various responsibilities within the company, such as Software Developer, Project Manager, Security Manager and Quality Assurance Manager before taking the responsibility as the company´s Chief Development Officer. Rakel holds a MBA degree and a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the Reykjavik University.

Heidar Karlsson, Chief Information Officer
Heidar Karlsson joined Betware in 2007. Previous to that he worked as a IT Director at TM Software & Skyggnir, an Icelandic Software Company, in Customer Service for Tæknival an Icelandic IT support company and at Icelandair. Heidar holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Technical College in Reykjavik and a several certifications in Project Management.
